Marco Aurelio Feitosa

is the owner of Gracie Barra Chula Vista, the head Muay Thai coach, and one of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu professors at the academy. With an extensive and accomplished career in martial arts, Marco brings both experience and passion to his role. He holds an impressive record of 43 amateur and professional fights, including three state championships and a Brazilian Muay Thai title. In 2013, he reached the semifinals of the World Championship in Thailand, further cementing his reputation on the international stage. In 2018, he earned a silver medal at the Pan American Kickboxing Championship in Mexico, proudly representing Team USA.

From 2013 to 2019, Marco trained with two of the top MMA teams in the world—American Top Team and the Blackzilians—gaining elite-level experience and knowledge. Between 2019 and 2021, he served as an assistant coach and sports psychologist for WAKO Team USA Kickboxing’s junior athletes.

Marco began his Muay Thai journey in 1998 under Grand Master Olimpio and has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Vinicius Draculino since 2005. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a specialization in sports psychology, which he integrates into his coaching approach to support his students both mentally and physically.

Professor Wilson

Beginning Jiujitsu training at the age of 5 under the guidance of his father and mentor Elinor Batista, he attained a black belt at 22. With a competitive spirit, he has achieved numerous titles, including 2x Brazilian Champion, 2x Pan-American Champion, Brazilian Team Champion, and 10x Regional Champion.
Later, he took on the role of competition instructor at his father’s gym. Upon relocating to Chula Vista in August 2022, he discovered a fresh approach to using Jiujitsu to aid people beyond competitions. He aimed to demonstrate that Jiujitsu is inclusive and has the power to transform lives in various ways. Throughout his journey with Gracie Barra Chula Vista, Professor Wilson achieved his third-degree Black Belt and alongside his wife, Coach Karol, they are embarking on a new mission of imparting Jiujitsu philosophy to all.

Coach Daniel Macario

is a lifelong martial artist, having trained in various disciplines from the age of 10, including Muay Thai, MMA, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With 15 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Daniel emphasizes progress over perfection. 

Roberto Rivera

Born and raised on the island of Guam, Roberto Rivera is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over two decades of experience in BJJ, boxing, and MMA. In addition to his martial arts background, he brings 10 years of professional experience as a physical therapist, specializing in injury prevention and recovery.

Roberto’s approach blends technical skill with a deep understanding of the body, helping students train smarter, stay healthy, and enjoy jiu-jitsu for life. He’s especially passionate about using his physical therapy background to promote longevity on the mats, ensuring that people of all ages—from kids to seniors—can safely benefit from the art well into their later years.

Roberto believes strongly that jiu-jitsu is for everyone—all ages, all genders, all walks of life—and is dedicated to building a supportive, inclusive community where anyone can grow and thrive through the practice.
